IRENE LÓPEZ LEÓN

Irene López León is a painter and muralist born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, recognised for a visual language that combines figuration and abstraction through a vibrant use of colour. Her work reinvents classical elements from a contemporary perspective, creating a balance between tradition and modernity.

She began her artistic career painting in the street, where she discovered muralism as a means of expression. Since then, she has developed a distinctive style in which nature, landscapes and contemporary still lifes become dynamic compositions full of movement, energy and colour. Flowers, animals and everyday objects serve as starting points for creating visually powerful scenes that merge organic and geometric forms.

Throughout her career, she has taken her work from urban spaces to galleries and art centres, participating in international mural festivals and exhibitions across Europe, America and Asia. Her murals can be found in countries including the United States, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia and Spain, establishing her as one of the Spanish artists with significant international projection in contemporary urban art.

She currently continues to develop mural, painting and international exhibition projects, maintaining a style characterised by chromatic richness, formal experimentation and an ability to transform spaces through compositions full of life and dynamism.
