BE FERNÁNDEZ
Be is a self-taught artist, illustrator, and muralist based in Madrid. She studied Advertising at the Complutense University of Madrid and IULM University in Milan, but her artistic journey has been shaped primarily through practice, curiosity, and years of personal exploration.
Her passion for painting began in childhood. At 17, she started covering the streets of Madrid with large illustrated posters that she pasted onto walls at night. Long before social media became part of everyday life, she was already looking for ways to connect with strangers through her work. That desire to communicate became the foundation of her artistic voice and continues to define her practice today.
Her visual universe draws inspiration from the comic books she discovered in her father"s collection, resulting in bold colors, strong contrasts, and richly textured compositions. Influenced by both contemporary life and classical art, she transforms everyday places, objects, words, and characters into visual narratives that feel familiar and deeply human.
At the heart of Be"s work is the idea of creating an emotional connection with the viewer. Through a vibrant, expressive style and simple, accessible forms, she tells stories that capture attention and leave a lasting impression in a world where attention spans are constantly shrinking.
Throughout her career she has collaborated with international brands such as Netflix, Adidas, Miu Miu, Porsche, Maybelline, and Coca-Cola, and with publications including Vogue and Forbes. In 2022 she received the European digital art creation award at the About You Awards in Milan, and since 2023 she has taught the annual creative process workshop at New York University in Madrid. Her work has been shown at international galleries including ABV in the United States, Superwow in Australia, and George Gallery in the United Kingdom.
