AÍDA MIRÓ
Aída Miró is a multidisciplinary visual artist born in Ibiza who works between Ibiza and New York. She began painting graffiti and murals in the early 1990s, influenced by hip hop culture and urban art. Her artistic practice encompasses muralism, painting, live painting and performance, combining different disciplines to create a deeply personal visual language focused on identity, diversity and the role of women in society.
She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València and a Cum Laude PhD in Art Education from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She also expanded her training in theatre design in the United Kingdom and circus techniques in Barcelona. Since 2007, she has lived and worked in different countries, incorporating cultural and artistic influences from around the world into her work.
Her work combines oil painting, muralism, spray paint, collage and performance to create figurative compositions rich in symbolism. Inspired by Ibizan tradition, mythology and the female figure, she develops a body of work that brings together Mediterranean roots and a contemporary vision, celebrating diversity and the connection between body, mind and spirit.
Throughout her career, she has created exhibitions and murals across Europe, the United States and Latin America, participating in cultural projects in cities including New York, San Francisco, London, Mexico City and Ibiza. She continues to develop international painting and urban art projects, establishing herself as one of Ibiza"s artists with significant international reach.
